2:9tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Gentile;Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
2:10but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile.But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
2:11Because there is no personal favoritism with God.For there is no respect of persons with God.
2:12Because, as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the lawFor as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
2:13(because, not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
2:14because, when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
2:15who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them)Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
2:16in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
2:17Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast in God,Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
2:18and know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law,And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
2:19and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
2:20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, who has the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
2:21You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
2:22You who say, "A man should not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
2:23You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
2:24Because, "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," as it is written.For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
2:25Because, circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
2:8but to those who are contentious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
2:7eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
2:6who "will render to each one according to his deeds":Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2:5But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
2:4Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
2:3And do you think this, O man, you who judge those who do such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
2:2But we are certain that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who commit such things.But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
2:1Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, because, in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; because you who judge practice the same things.Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2:26Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
2:27And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law?And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
2:28Because, he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is that circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
2:29but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
