| 14:1 | At that time Herod the tetrarch heard about the fame of Jesus, | At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, |
| 14:2 | and said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works display themselves in him." | And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. |
| 14:3 | Because, Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife. | For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. |
| 14:4 | Because, John said to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her." | For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. |

| 14:8 | So she being instructed beforehand by her mother said, "Give me John the Baptist's head here on a platter." | And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. |
| 14:9 | And the king was grieved: nevertheless because of the oath's sake and those who sat with him at the table, he commanded it to be given to her. | And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her. |

| 14:15 | Now when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, "This is a desert place, and the hour is already late. Send the crowds away, that they may go into the villages and buy sustenance for themselves." | And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. |
| 14:16 | But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to leave. You give them something to eat." | But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. |
| 14:17 | And they said to Him, "We have only five loaves, and two fish with us." | And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. |
| 14:18 | He said, "Bring them here to Me." | He said, Bring them hither to me. |
| 14:19 | Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke, and gave the loaves to His disciples; and the disciples to the crowds. | And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. |

| 14:28 | And Peter replied to Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, tell me to come to You on the water." | And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. |
| 14:29 | And He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. | And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. |
| 14:30 | But when he saw the wind was strong, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he shouted out, saying, "Lord, save me!" | But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. |
| 14:31 | And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand, and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" | And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? |
| 14:32 | And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. | And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. |
| 14:33 | Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of God." | Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. |
| 14:34 | And when they had crossed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. | And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. |
| 14:35 | And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, and brought to Him all who were sick, | And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; |
| 14:36 | and begged Him that they might only touch the edge of His clothes. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. | And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. |
