8:9 | Now those who had eaten were about four thousand, and He sent them away. | And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. |
8:10 | Then immediately He got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha. | And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. |
8:11 | And the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. | And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. |
8:12 | But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation." | And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. |
8:13 | And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. | And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side. |
8:14 | Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat. | Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. |
8:15 | And He charged them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod." | And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. |
8:16 | And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have no bread." | And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. |

8:34 | And when He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." | And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
