| 1:13 | so that it has become evident to the entire palace, and to every other place, that my chains are in Christ; | So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; |
| 1:14 | and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. | And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. |
| 1:15 | Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: | Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: |

| 1:25 | And being confident of this, I know that I will abide and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, | And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; |

| 1:27 | Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, | Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; |

| 1:29 | Because, to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake, | For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; |
