| 13:1 | Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. | And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. |
| 13:2 | Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave him his power, throne, and great authority. | And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. |
| 13:3 | And I saw one of his heads as it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed, and the entire world followed after the beast. | And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. |
| 13:4 | And they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? | 13:5 | And he was given a mouth speaking grand things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty two months. | And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. |

| 13:10 | He who leads into captivity will go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. | He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. |
| 13:11 | Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon. | And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. |
| 13:12 | And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. | And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. |

| 13:14 | And deceives those who dwell on the earth because of those miracles which he had authority to do in the sight of the beast, saying to those who live on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the wound by a sword, and lived. | And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. |

| 13:18 | Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, because it is the number of a man: and his number is six hundred and sixty six. | Here is wisdom.
