11:1Now when they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent out two of His disciples; And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
11:2and He said to them, "Go your way into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered into it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose him and bring him."And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
11:3And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say that, 'The Lord has need of him,' and immediately he will send him here."And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
11:4So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside in a place where two roads meet, and they loosed him.And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
11:5But some of those who stood there said to them, "What are you doing, loosing the colt?"And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
11:6And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go.And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
11:7Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on him, and He sat upon him.And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
11:8And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
11:9Then those who went before and those who followed shouted, saying: "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
11:10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11:11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
11:12Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
11:13And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. And when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, because it was not yet the season for figs. And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14And Jesus responded and said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it.And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
11:15Then they came to Jerusalem. And Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
11:16And He would not permit anyone to carry any vessel through the temple. And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
11:17Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
11:18And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; because they feared Him, as all the people were astonished at His doctrine. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
11:19And when evening had come, He went out of the city. And when even was come, he went out of the city.
11:20Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Teacher, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away."And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
11:22So Jesus replied and said to them, "Have faith in God."And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
11:23Because, truly, I say to you, whoever shall say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says."For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
11:24Therefore I say to you, whatever things you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
11:25"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
11:26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
11:27Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him.And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28And they said to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?"And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
11:29But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:"And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
11:30The baptism of John, was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me."The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
11:31And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we shall say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?'And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
11:32But if we say, 'From men,'" they feared the people, because, everyone counted John to have been a prophet indeed. But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
11:33So they answered and said to Jesus, "We cannot tell." And Jesus replied and said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
